EN 353 – DIN 20NiCrMo5 Case Hardening Steel
EN 353 steel has carbon content which raises the material to become tougher and harder. It is observed that the hardness and the wear resistance of this grade of steel are elevated after the warmness therapy and by the microstructure which exchanged the material from the ferrite to marten. This grade of alloy is neither brittle nor ductile due to the presence of the lower carbon content and due to the lower hardness. It has excellent durable leak-proof property. It has nickel, chromium; molybdenum which increases its tensile strength and lower cost hence it is used in many applications.
